Services & Financial Investment
Hi ya’ll!
I’m a Clinical Psychologist licensed in Texas and love what I do. I’m a generalist who works with people from diverse backgrounds presenting with an array of concerns. With that said, my specific expertise is in LGBTQIA2S+ mental health with an emphasis on transgender mental health. I provide adult psychotherapy services that are available in person or via telehealth. I also write WPATH letters for folks seeking gender affirmative healthcare, such as surgeries. WPATH assessments are available via telehealth only and are completed in one session. I do not work with youth under 18 y/o, families, or couples; however, I can provide referrals upon request.
I have experience with the following presenting concerns:
Gender incongruence (transgender/nonbinary concerns)
LGBTQIA2S+ concerns
Stigmatized identities and minority stress, some examples:
LGBTQIA2S+
Race and ethnicity
Immigration status
Plurality, DID, OSDD (call/text for more information)
People of non-Christian faiths and spiritual practices
white privilege
Mistrust of healthcare providers
Anxiety
Depression & bipolar depression
Family conflict
Adult children of emotionally unavailable parents
Relationship issues (monogamous/polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous)
Self-esteem & self-compassion
Suicide
Self-harm
Relational trauma
Insurance
I try to make my services more accessible by accepting certain health insurance plans. I am in-network with BCBS, Aetna, and Cigna/Evernorth and will submit session claims on your behalf. Letters are not covered by insurance. I am not contracted with other health insurance plans; however, your plan may cover my services if you have out-of-network benefits. If so, I will provide a “superbill” for possible reimbursement.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions prior to reaching out:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
Does my plan reimburse for out-of-network providers?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Below are my standard self-pay rates for each service. I understand that these rates can be a barrier to accessing my services. I take insurance to offset this, as well as provide sliding scale. I also provide referrals to lower cost clinicians.
Intake session: $250/hr
Individual adult therapy: $200/hr
WPATH assessments (contact for more information about sliding scale)

Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, clients have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much their medical care will cost. This means all healthcare providers are required to give an estimate of the bill to clients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at (800) 368-1019.
If you are still unable to access my services due to financial barriers, please call or text my office at 346.232.5060 or e-mail drstanleypsyd@outlook.com to ask about my availability help you pro bono.
